We have long been curious what beer would look like if photographed with a "reflected light differential interference contrast (DIC) microscope using a quartz compensating plate between the Wollaston prisms and polarizers." Well, Florida State University has satisfied that curiousity with this DIC microscope photo of Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout.
